Genesis 35:19–20

19 So xRachel died, and she was buried on the way to yEphrath (that is, Bethlehem), 20 and Jacob set up a pillar over her tomb. It is zthe pillar of Rachel’s tomb, which is there to this day.


Genesis 48:7

As for me, when I came from Paddan, to my sorrow eRachel died in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was still some distance1 to go to Ephrath, and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).


1 Samuel 10:2

When you depart from me today, you will meet two men by fRachel’s tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah, and they will say to you, gThe donkeys that you went to seek are found, and now hyour father has ceased to care about the donkeys and is anxious about you, saying, What shall I do about my son?
