4 “I am a nsojourner and foreigner among you; give me property among you for a burying place, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.”
15 For ewe are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are flike a shadow, and there is no abiding.1
12 “Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;
whold not your peace at my tears!
For I am a xsojourner with you,
a guest, like all my fathers.
13 These all died in faith, enot having received the things promised, but having fseen them and greeted them from afar, and ghaving acknowledged that they were strangers and hexiles on the earth.
11 Beloved, I urge you as lsojourners and mexiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, nwhich wage war against your soul.
