Abraham and the Covenant of Circumcision
1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord lappeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God mAlmighty;1 nwalk before me, and be oblameless,
3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as vGod Almighty,1 but wby my name the Lord I did not make myself known to them.
4 the oracle of him who hears the words of God,
who sees the vision of the Almighty,
falling down with his eyes uncovered:
17 “Behold, fblessed is the one whom God reproves;
therefore gdespise not the discipline of the Almighty.
My Refuge and My Fortress
1 He who dwells in the zshelter of the Most High
will abide in the ashadow of the Almighty.
6 eWail, ffor the day of the Lord is near;
as destruction from the Almighty1 it will come!
15 Alas for the day!
nFor the oday of the Lord is near,
and as destruction from the Almighty1 it comes.
