7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, ^v“To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ^y“To your offspring I give¹ this land, from ^zthe river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,

7 The Lord, the God of heaven, ^rwho took me from my father’s house and from the land of my kindred, and who spoke to me and swore to me, ^s‘To your offspring I will give this land,’ ^the will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

4 ^cI will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And ^din your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,

4 And the Lord said to him, ^g“This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ ^hI have let you see it with your eyes, but ⁱyou shall not go over there.”

7 Did you not, our God, ^qdrive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it forever to the descendants of ^rAbraham your friend?
