5 bThe Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every cintention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
21 And when the Lord smelled kthe pleasing aroma, the Lord said in his heart, “I will never again lcurse1 the ground because of man, for mthe intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. nNeither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done.
9 The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?
5 Behold, fI was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
10 as it is written:
n“None is righteous, no, not one;
11 no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
23 for fall have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
