2 And God spoke to Israel in yvisions of the night and said, z“Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, a“Here I am.” 3 Then he said, “I am God, the God of your father. bDo not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for cthere I will make you into a dgreat nation. 4 I myself will go down with you to Egypt, and eI will also bring you up again, and fJoseph’s hand shall close your eyes.”
6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, iI do not know how to speak, for I am jonly a youth.” 7 But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;
for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,
and whatever I command you, kyou shall speak.
8 lDo not be afraid of them,
for I am mwith you to deliver you,
declares the Lord.”
19 When they had rowed about three or four miles,1 they saw Jesus dwalking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were frightened. 20 But he said to them, e“It is I; do not be afraid.”
9 And the Lord said to Paul one enight in a vision, f“Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.”
