13 I am the qGod of Bethel, rwhere you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me. Now arise, go out from this land and return to the land of your kindred.’”
45 So Jacob took a stone and lset it up as a pillar.
14 And Jacob eset up a pillar in the place where he had spoken with him, a pillar of stone. He poured out a fdrink offering on it and poured oil on it.
12 Then Samuel took a stone and eset it up between Mizpah and Shen1 and called its name fEbenezer;2 for he said, “Till now the Lord has helped us.”
18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and set up for himself the pillar that is in the King’s Valley, for he said, “I have cno son to keep my name in remembrance.” He called the pillar after his own name, and it is called Absalom’s monument1 to this day.
