14 And God said, “Let there be ^glights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for ^hseasons,¹ and for days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. 16 And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars.

10 And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

11 ^zIn the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the ^afountains of the great deep burst forth, and the ^bwindows of the heavens were opened.

13 I have set my ^hbow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
