14 And God said, “Let there be ^glights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for ^hseasons,¹ and for days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. 16 And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars.

2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, ^qand he ^rrested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.
