The Creation of the World
1 In the abeginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
18 And the Lord has declared today that you are oa people for his treasured possession, as he has promised you, and that you are to keep all his commandments,
10 hAnd the ransomed of the Lord shall return
and come to Zion with singing;
ieverlasting joy shall be upon their heads;
they shall obtain gladness and joy,
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
7 everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.”
23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
The Word Became Flesh
1 aIn the beginning was bthe Word, and cthe Word was with God, and dthe Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 eAll things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by fthe word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of gthings that are visible.
9 But you are za chosen race, aa royal bpriesthood, ca holy nation, da people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you eout of darkness into fhis marvelous light.
9 And they sang ua new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for vyou were slain, and by your blood wyou ransomed people for God
from xevery tribe and language and people and nation,
A Great Multitude from Every Nation
9 After this I looked, and behold, ba great multitude that no one could number, cfrom every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dclothed in white robes, with epalm branches in their hands,
10 and crying out with a loud voice, f“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
