16 yet we know that ⁿa person is not justified¹ by works of the law ^obut through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, ^pbecause by works of the law no one will be justified.

17 But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found ^qto be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not! 18 For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor. 19 For through the law I ^rdied to the law, so that I might ^slive to God. 20 I have been ^tcrucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives ^uin me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, ^vwho loved me and ^wgave himself for me. 21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for ^xif righteousness² were through the law, ^ythen Christ died for no purpose.

15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for ^bmany.

4 For ^hcertain people ⁱhave crept in unnoticed ^jwho long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert ^kthe grace of our God into sensuality and ^ldeny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

5 because of ^hthe hope ⁱlaid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in ^jthe word of the truth, the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as indeed ^kin the whole world it is ^lbearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you ^mheard it and understood ⁿthe grace of God in truth,

11 For ^hthe grace of God ⁱhas appeared, bringing salvation ^jfor all people,

15 For ^gyou did not receive ^hthe spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of ⁱadoption as sons, by whom we cry, ^j“Abba! Father!”

5 ^lhe predestined us¹ for ^madoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, ⁿaccording to the purpose of his will,

16 “For ^hGod so loved ⁱthe world,^{1 j}that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not ^kperish but have eternal life.

24 Truly, truly, I say to you, ^rwhoever hears my word and ^sbelieves him who sent me has eternal life. He ^tdoes not come into judgment, but ^uhas passed from death to life.

47 Truly, truly, I say to you, ^ywhoever believes has eternal life.

31 ^wbut these are written so that you may ^xbelieve that Jesus is the Christ, ^ythe Son of God, and that by believing ^zyou may have life ^ain his name.

43 ^dTo him ^eall the prophets bear witness that ^feveryone who believes in him receives ^gforgiveness of sins ^hthrough his name.”

39 and by him ^zeveryone who believes is freed¹ from everything ^afrom which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.

31 And they said, ^x“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you ^yand your household.”
