21 But I had concern xfor my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations to which they came.
18 zRemember this, O Lord, how the enemy scoffs,
and aa foolish people reviles your name.
9 m“For my name’s sake I defer my anger;
for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you,
that I may not cut you off.
9 kBut I acted lfor the sake of my name, mthat it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, nin whose sight I made myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.
26 lI would have said, “I will cut them to pieces;
mI will wipe them from human memory,”
27 had I not feared provocation by the enemy,
lest their adversaries should misunderstand,
lest they should say, n“Our hand is triumphant,
it was not the Lord who did all this.”’
35 kFor I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for lthe sake of my servant David.”
14 But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, win whose sight I had brought them out.
22 oBut I withheld my hand pand acted for the sake of my name, qthat it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out.
