Ezekiel 17:23–24

23 nOn the mountain height of Israel will I plant it, that it may bear branches and produce fruit and become a noble cedar. oAnd under it will dwell every kind of bird; in the shade of its branches birds of every sort will nest. 24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I am the Lord; pI bring low the high tree, and make high the low tree, dry up qthe green tree, and make qthe dry tree flourish. rI am the Lord; I have spoken, and I will do it.

Ezekiel 31:4–7

The waters nourished it;

the deep made it grow tall,

making cits rivers flow

around the place of its planting,

sending forth its streams

to all the trees of the field.

So dit towered high

above all the trees of the field;

its boughs grew large

and its branches long

from eabundant water in its shoots.

fAll the birds of the heavens

made their nests in its boughs;

under its branches all the beasts of the field

gave birth to their young,

and under its shadow

lived all great nations.

It was gbeautiful in its greatness,

in the length of its branches;

efor its roots went down

to abundant waters.

Ezekiel 31:9

I made it beautiful

in the mass of its branches,

and all the trees of jEden envied it,

that were in the garden of God.
