12 Thus says the Lord God: Because vEdom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended win taking vengeance on them,

11 The joracle concerning kDumah.

One is calling to me from lSeir,

Watchman, what time of the night?

Watchman, what time of the night?

12  The watchman says:

Morning comes, and also mthe night.

If you will inquire, ninquire;

come back again.

11 Thus says the Lord:

kFor three transgressions of yEdom,

and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,

ybecause he pursued his brother with the sword

zand cast off all pity,

aand his anger tore perpetually,

aand he kept his wrath forever.

If Edom says, We are shattered but we will rebuild the ruins, the Lord of hosts says, They may build, but I will tear down, and they will be called the wicked country, and the people with whom the Lord is angry forever.
