6 rThe Lord passed before him and proclaimed, s“The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, 7 tkeeping steadfast love for thousands,1 uforgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will vby no means clear the guilty, wvisiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
15 But you, O Lord, are a God hmerciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
8 The Lord is bmerciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
8 The Lord is kgracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
13 and rend your hearts and not your garments.”
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is hgracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and ihe relents over disaster.
2 And he prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why jI made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a kgracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.
