Exodus 20:17; Proverbs 5:15–23; Proverbs 6:25; Ezekiel 23:14–17; Matthew 5:27–30; Matthew 15:19; John 8:41

17 tYou shall not covet uyour neighbor’s house; vyou shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.

15  Drink owater from your own cistern,

flowing water from your own well.

16  Should your psprings be scattered abroad,

streams of water qin the streets?

17  rLet them be for yourself alone,

and not for strangers with you.

18  Let your ofountain be blessed,

and srejoice in tthe wife of your youth,

19  a lovely udeer, a graceful doe.

Let her breasts vfill you at all times with delight;

be intoxicated1 always in her love.

20  Why should you be intoxicated, my son, with wa forbidden woman

and embrace the bosom of wan adulteress?2

21  For xa man’s ways are ybefore the eyes of the Lord,

and he zponders3 all his paths.

22  The ainiquities of the wicked bensnare him,

and he is held fast in the cords of his sin.

23  cHe dies for lack of discipline,

and because of his great folly he is dled astray.

25  tDo not desire her beauty in your heart,

and do not let her capture you with her ueyelashes;

14 But she carried her whoring further. She saw men cportrayed on the wall, the dimages of ethe Chaldeans portrayed in vermilion, 15 wearing belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them having the appearance of officers, a likeness of Babylonians whose native land was Chaldea. 16 When she saw them, she lusted after them and fsent messengers to them ein Chaldea. 17 And the Babylonians came to her ginto the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoring lust. And after she was defiled by them, hshe turned from them in disgust.

Lust

27 hYou have heard that it was said, iYou shall not commit adultery. 28 But I say to you that jeveryone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 kIf your right eye lcauses you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into mhell. 30 kAnd if your right hand lcauses you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into mhell.

19 For out of the heart come bevil thoughts, cmurder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, dslander.

41 You are doing the works your father did. They said to him, qWe were not born of sexual immorality. We have rone Fathereven God.
