2 The Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, ⁱ“A staff.”

17 And take in your hand ^vthis staff, with which you shall do the signs.”

5 And the Lord said to Moses, “Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel, and take in your hand the staff with ^bwhich you struck the Nile, and go.
