9 And the Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold, ^hit is a stiff-necked people.

6 “Know, therefore, that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are ^ga stubborn people.

16 Circumcise therefore ^qthe foreskin of your heart, and be no longer ^rstubborn.

14 But they would not listen, ^pbut were stubborn, as their fathers had been, who did not believe in the Lord their God.

16 “But they and our fathers ^eacted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey your commandments.

29 ^bAnd you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet ⁱthey acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments, but sinned against your rules, ^jwhich if a person does them, he shall live by them, ^kand they turned a stubborn shoulder ^land stiffened their neck and would not obey.

26 ^vYet they did not listen to me or incline their ear, ^abut stiffened their neck. ^bThey did worse than their fathers.

23 Yet ^fthey did not listen or incline their ear, ^gbut stiffened their neck, that they ^hmight not hear and receive instruction.

51 ^d“You stiff-necked people, ^euncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. ^fAs your fathers did, so do you.
