17 Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a pdevouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel.


The mountains zquaked before the Lord,

aeven Sinai before the Lord,1 the God of Israel.


sBow your heavens, O Lord, and come down!

tTouch the mountains so that they smoke!


And wthe foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and xthe house was filled with smoke.


and nthe sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and ono one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.
