12 The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and wait there, that I may give you the ^stablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”

13 And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the ^rTen Commandments,¹ and he wrote them on ^stwo tablets of stone.

22 “These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly at the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and he added no more. And he wrote them on ^ltwo tablets of stone and gave them to me.
