Exodus 22:21–22

21 oYou shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt. 22 pYou shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child.


Exodus 23:6

hYou shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in his lawsuit.


Deuteronomy 10:18

18 wHe executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.


Deuteronomy 27:19

19 hCursed be anyone who perverts the justice due to the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.


Isaiah 1:23

23  Your princes are rebels

and companions of thieves.

Everyone uloves a bribe

and runs after gifts.

vThey do not bring justice to the fatherless,

and the widow’s cause does not come to them.

28  tthey have grown fat and sleek.

19 fYou shall not pervert justice. gYou shall not show partiality, hand you shall not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of the righteous.
