Exodus 2:23

God Hears Israel’s Groaning

23 oDuring those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel pgroaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. qTheir cry for rescue from slavery came up to God.


Exodus 6:9

Moses spoke thus to the people of Israel, but they tdid not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and harsh slavery.


Numbers 20:15

15 dhow our fathers went down to Egypt, eand we lived in Egypt a long time. fAnd the Egyptians dealt harshly with us and our fathers.


Acts 7:19

19 wHe dealt shrewdly with our race and forced our fathers to expose their infants, xso that they would not be kept alive.


Acts 7:34

34 mI have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and nhave heard their groaning, and oI have come down to deliver them. pAnd now come, I will send you to Egypt.
