12 For ^wI will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will ^xstrike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and ^yon all ^zthe gods of Egypt ^aI will execute judgments: I am the Lord.

12 I shall kindle a fire in the temples of the ⁱgods of Egypt, and he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd cleans his cloak of vermin, and he shall go away from there in peace.

7 And I said to them, ‘Cast away the detestable things your eyes feast on, every one of you, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.’
