28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as ^htheir own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

33 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

7 Likewise, ^uhusbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are ^vheirs with you¹ of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
