2 ^lin which you once walked, following the course¹ of this world, following ^mthe prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in ⁿthe sons of disobedience—

8 ^aBe sober-minded; ^bbe watchful. Your ^cadversary the devil ^dprowls around ^elike a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

10 and the devil ^lwho had deceived them was ^mthrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where ⁿthe beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

13 ^aAnd you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God ^bmade alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by ^ccanceling ^dthe record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands.
