1 And you were ^ydead in the trespasses and sins 2 ^zin which ^ayou once walked, following the course¹ of this world, following the ^bprince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the ^csons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the ^dpassions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.²

7 ^mIn these you too once walked, when you were living in them.

3 For the ^wtime that is past suffices for doing what the ^xGentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.
