10  For you have aforgotten the God of your salvation

and have not remembered the bRock of your refuge;

therefore, cthough you plant pleasant plants

and sow the vine-branch of a stranger,

11  though you make them grow1 on the day that you plant them,

and make them blossom in the morning that you sow,

yet the harvest will flee away2

in a day of grief and incurable pain.

Jeremiah 12:13

13  They have sown wheat and have reaped thorns;

they have tired themselves out but profit nothing.

They shall be ashamed of their1 harvests

because of the fierce anger of the Lord.”

Micah 6:15

15  hYou shall sow, but not reap;

you shall tread olives, but not anoint yourselves with oil;

you shall tread grapes, but not drink wine.

Haggai 1:6

6 hYou have sown much, and harvested little. iYou eat, but you never have enough; jyou drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who earns kwages does so to put them into a bag with holes.
