18 “And when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, ^hhe shall write for himself in a book a copy of this law, ⁱapproved by¹ the Levitical priests.

3 and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, ^qthat you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn,

14 For you are sent by the king ^jand his seven counselors to make inquiries about Judah and Jerusalem according to the Law of your God, which is in your hand,

8 They read from the book, from the Law of God, clearly,¹ and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading.
