Circumcise Your Heart
12 “And now, Israel, mwhat does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord, which I am commanding you today nfor your good? 14 Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the oheaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it. 15 Yet the Lord set his heart in plove on your fathers and chose their offspring after them, you above all peoples, as you are this day. 16 qCircumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer rstubborn. 17 For the Lord your God is sGod of gods and tLord of lords, the ugreat, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is vnot partial and takes no bribe.
Repentance and Forgiveness
1 “And when all these things come upon you, mthe blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you, 2 and nreturn to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul, 3 then the Lord your God will orestore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and he will pgather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you. 4 qIf your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will take you. 5 And the Lord your God will bring you into the land that your fathers possessed, that you may possess it. And he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers. 6 And the Lord your God will rcircumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
