3 Know therefore today that he who goes over before you ^eas a consuming fire is the Lord your God. He will destroy them and subdue them before you. So you shall drive them out and make them perish quickly, ^fas the Lord has promised you.

3 ^cThe Lord your God himself will go over before you. ^dHe will destroy these nations before you, so that you shall dispossess them, and ^eJoshua will go over at your head, as the Lord has spoken.

24 And when you ^rhear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then rouse yourself, for then the Lord has ^sgone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines.”
