Not Because of Righteousness

1 “Hear, O Israel: you are ^vto cross over the Jordan today, to go in to dispossess nations ^wgreater and mightier than you, cities great and fortified up to heaven,

10 But when ^qyou go over the Jordan and live in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to inherit, ^rand when he gives you rest from all your enemies around, so that you live in safety,

11 “Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, ‘Prepare your provisions, for ^qwithin three days ^ryou are to pass over this Jordan to go in to take possession of the land that the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’”
