9 ^f“Only take care, and ^gkeep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. ^hMake them known to your children and your children’s children—

5 ^aOnly be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, ^bto love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

7 ⁿthat you may not mix with these nations remaining among you ^oor make mention of the names of their gods ^por swear by them or serve them or bow down to them,

17 For ⁱI will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, and they shall be remembered by name no more.

Idolatry Cut Off

2 “And ⁱon that day, declares the Lord of hosts, ^kI will cut off the names of the idols from the land, so that ^lthey shall be remembered no more. And also ^mI will remove from the land the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness.
