43  oRejoice with him, O heavens;1

bow down to him, all gods,2

for he pavenges the blood of his children3

and takes vengeance on his adversaries.

He repays those who hate him4

and cleanses5 his people's land.6


20 kthen I will pluck you1 up from my land that I have given you, and this house that I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it la proverb and a byword among all peoples.

you prestored the fortunes of Jacob.


They shall not remain in hthe land of the Lord,

but iEphraim shall return to Egypt,

and jthey shall eat unclean food in Assyria.


The Lord Had Pity

18  bThen the Lord became jealous for his land

cand had pity on his people.


jI will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And kI will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land,
