Deuteronomy 32:21; 1 Samuel 12:21; Jeremiah 14:22; 1 Corinthians 8:4

21  bThey have made me jealous with what is no god;

they have provoked me to anger cwith their idols.

So dI will make them jealous with those who are no people;

I will provoke them to anger with ea foolish nation.

21 And zdo not turn aside after aempty things that cannot profit or deliver, for they are empty.

22  Are there any among mthe false gods of the nations nthat can bring rain?

Or can the heavens give showers?

Are you not he, O Lord our God?

We set our hope on you,

ofor you do all these things.

4 Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that t“an idol has no real existence,” and that u“there is no God but one.”
