Deuteronomy 32:20; Psalm 30:7; Psalm 104:29; Isaiah 8:17; Isaiah 64:7; Isaiah 59:2

20  And he said, aI will hide my face from them;

I will see what their end will be,

for they are a perverse generation,

children in whom is no faithfulness.

By your favor, O Lord,

you made my gmountain stand strong;

you hhid your face;

I was idismayed.

29  When you ehide your face, they are fdismayed;

when you gtake away their breath, they die

and hreturn to their dust.

17 I will wwait for the Lord, who is xhiding his face from the house of Jacob, and I will hope in him.

xThere is no one who calls upon your name,

who rouses himself to take hold of you;

for you have hidden your face from us,

and have made us melt in1 the hand of our iniquities.

cbut your iniquities have made a separation

between you and your God,

and your sins have hidden his face from you

so that he does not hear.
