17 Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, ‘Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?’
24 Why do you hide your face
and ecount me as your enemy?
9 kHide not your face from me.
Turn not your servant away in anger,
O you who have been my help.
Cast me not off; lforsake me not,
O God of my salvation!
17 I will wait for the Lord, who is nhiding his face from the house of Jacob, and oI will hope in him.
5 They are coming in to fight against the Chaldeans and to fill them1 with the dead bodies of men whom I shall strike down in my anger and my wrath, for I have bhidden my face from this city because of all their evil.
23 And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they dealt so treacherously with me that I ehid my face from them and gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they all fell by the sword.
4 Then they will cry to the Lord,
cbut he will not answer them;
dhe will hide his face from them at that time,
because they have made their deeds evil.
