Laws Concerning Cities of Refuge

1 “When ^pthe Lord your God cuts off the nations whose land the Lord your God is giving you, and you dispossess them and dwell in their cities and in their houses,

4 Behold, ⁱI have allotted to you as an inheritance for your tribes those nations that remain, along with all the nations that I have already cut off, from the Jordan to the Great Sea in the west. 5 The Lord your God ^jwill push them back before you and drive them out of your sight. And you shall possess their land, ^kjust as the Lord your God promised you.
