Deuteronomy 15:7–8

If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, ryou shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but syou shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.


Proverbs 19:17

17  cWhoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord,

and he dwill repay him for his edeed.


Proverbs 28:27

27  Whoever vgives to the poor will not want,

but he who whides his eyes will get many a curse.


1 Timothy 6:18–19

18 They are to do good, fto be rich in good works, to be generous and gready to share, 19 thus hstoring up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may itake hold of jthat which is truly life.
