12 Then he said to me, a“Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you bset your heart to understand and bhumbled yourself before your God, cyour words have been heard, dand I have come because of your words.
15 For thus says nthe One who is high and lifted up,
who inhabits eternity, whose name is oHoly:
p“I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also qwith him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
rto revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.
17 The sacrifices of God are xa broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
6 hFor though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly,
but the haughty he knows from afar.
6 xHumble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,
6 But dhe gives more grace. Therefore it says, e“God opposes the proud but dgives grace to the humble.”
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. fResist the devil, and he will flee from you.
5 For you, O Lord, are good and pforgiving,
qabounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
6 rGive ear, O Lord, to my prayer;
listen to my plea for grace.
7 In sthe day of my trouble I call upon you,
tfor you answer me.
