11  “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord God,

“when ^wI will send a famine on the land—

not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,

^xbut of hearing the words of the Lord.

9  We do not see our ^lsigns;

^mthere is no longer any prophet,

and there is none among us who knows how long.

18  Where ^zthere is no prophetic vision the people ^acast off restraint,¹

but blessed is he who ^bkeeps the law.

7  ^wthe seers shall be disgraced,

and the diviners put to shame;

^xthey shall all cover their lips,

for ^ythere is no answer from God.
