4 Therefore we ourselves ^cboast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in ^dall your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring.

The Judgment at Christ’s Coming

5 This is ^eevidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be ^fconsidered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering—

17 and if children, then ^eheirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, ^fprovided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

4 Then I saw ^vthrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw ^wthe souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their ^xforeheads or their hands. They came to life and ^yreigned with Christ for a thousand years.
