13 ^dHe shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the ^ethrone of his kingdom forever.

2 The people were sacrificing at the high places, however, because no house had yet been built ^gfor the name of the Lord.

3 “You know that ^sDavid my father could not build a house ^tfor the name of the Lord his God because of the warfare with which his enemies surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

7 then I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, and ^cthe house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, and Israel will become a ^dproverb and a byword among all peoples.
