23 Now Joab was in command of all the army of Israel; and ^oBenaiah the son of Jehoiada was in command of the Cherethites and the Pelethites;

8 But ^gZadok the priest and ^hBenaiah the son of Jehoiada and ⁱNathan the prophet and Shimei and Rei and ^jDavid’s mighty men were not with Adonijah.

25 So King Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he struck him down, and he died.

4 ^xBenaiah the son of Jehoiada was in command of the army; Zadok and ^yAbiathar were priests;

22 And ^zBenaiah the son of ^aJehoiada was a valiant man¹ of ^bKabzeel, a doer of great deeds. He struck down two heroes of Moab. He also went down and struck down a lion in a pit on a day when snow had fallen.
