42 A man came from iBaal-shalishah, jbringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, kGive to the men, that they may eat.


2 Kings 8:8–9

the king said to wHazael, xTake a present with you and go to meet the man of God, yand inquire of the Lord through him, saying, Shall I recover from this sickness? So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, all kinds of goods of Damascus, forty camels’ loads. When he came and stood before him, he said, zYour son Ben-hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, Shall I recover from this sickness?


1 Samuel 9:7

Then Saul said to his servant, But if we go, nwhat can we bring the man? For the bread in our sacks is gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?
