17 Because they have gforsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.
31 And the strong shall become tinder,
and his work a spark,
and both of them shall burn together,
with none to quench them.
24 “And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For utheir worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”
4 Circumcise yourselves to the Lord;
dremove the foreskin of your hearts,
O men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem;
elest my wrath go forth like fire,
and burn with none to quench it,
because of the evil of your deeds.”
47 Say to the forest of the Negeb, Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord God, Behold, qI will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree in you and every dry tree. The blazing flame shall not be quenched, and all faces rfrom south to north shall be scorched by it. 48 All flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.”
6 Seek the Lord and live,
qlest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph,
and it devour, with none to quench it for Bethel,
43 vAnd if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell,1 to the unquenchable fire.2
