9 Then Jehoiada the priest took a ^zchest and bored a hole in the lid of it and set it beside the altar on the right side as one entered the house of the Lord. And the priests who guarded the threshold put in it all the money that was brought into the house of the Lord.

4 “Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the ^umoney that has been brought into the house of the Lord, which the keepers of the threshold have collected from the people.

4 And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest and the priests of the ^osecond order and the ^pkeepers of the threshold to bring out of the temple of the Lord all the vessels made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven. He ^qburned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron and carried their ashes to ^rBethel.

18 And the captain of the guard took ^aSeraiah the chief priest and ^bZephaniah the second priest and the three ^ckeepers of the threshold;

22 All these, who were chosen as gatekeepers at the thresholds, were 212. They were enrolled by genealogies in their villages. David and Samuel the ^pseer established them in their office of trust.

4 This is the thing that you shall do: of you priests and Levites who ^mcome off duty on the Sabbath, one third shall be gatekeepers,

9 They came to Hilkiah the high priest and gave him the ^tmoney that had been brought into the house of God, which the Levites, the keepers of the threshold, had collected from Manasseh and Ephraim and from all the remnant of Israel and from all Judah and Benjamin and from the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

4 I brought them to the house of the Lord into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was near the chamber of the officials, above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, keeper of the threshold.

The People Exiled to Babylon

24 And the captain of the guard took ^qSeraiah the chief priest, and ^rZephaniah the second priest and the three ^skeepers of the threshold;
