Ministers of the New Covenant

1 ^vAre we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, ^wletters of recommendation to you, or from you?

2 But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. ^tWe refuse to practice¹ cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth ^uwe would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

12 ^eWe are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you cause ^fto boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast about outward ^gappearance and not about what is in the heart.
