33  This God is my strong refuge

and has made my¹ way blameless.²

1  ^wThe Lord is my light and my salvation;

^xwhom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold¹ of my life;

of whom shall I be afraid?

10  For you have ^aforgotten the God of your salvation

and have not remembered the ^bRock of your refuge;

therefore, ^cthough you plant pleasant plants

and sow the vine-branch of a stranger,

19  O Lord, my strength and my stronghold,

my refuge in the day of trouble,

to you shall the nations come

from the ends of the earth and say:

“Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies,

worthless things in which there is no profit.

16  ^bThe Lord roars from Zion,

and utters his voice from Jerusalem,

and ^cthe heavens and the earth quake.

But the Lord is a ^drefuge to his people,

a stronghold to the people of Israel.
