13 Yet the Lord warned Israel and Judah by every prophet and every ⁱseer, saying, ^j“Turn from your evil ways and keep my commandments and my statutes, in accordance with all the Law that I commanded your fathers, and that I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”

14 But they would not listen, but were ^kstubborn, as their fathers had been, ^lwho did not believe in the Lord their God.

15 The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent ^dpersistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 But they kept ^emocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.

25 From the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have persistently sent all my servants the prophets to them, day after day. 26 ^bYet ^cthey did not listen to me or incline their ear, but ^dstiffened their neck. ^eThey did worse than their fathers.

4 ^dDo not be like your fathers, to whom the ^eformer prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, ^fReturn from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But they did ^gnot hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.
