2 Corinthians 9:7–10; Proverbs 11:25; 1 Chronicles 29:14; Proverbs 3:27

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, wnot reluctantly or under compulsion, for xGod loves a cheerful giver. And yGod is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency1 in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written,

zHe has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;

his righteousness endures forever.

10 He who supplies aseed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and bincrease the harvest of your righteousness.

25  lWhoever brings blessing mwill be enriched,

and none who waters will himself be watered.

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.

27  rDo not withhold good from those to whom it is due,1

when it is in your power to do it.
